BA DEXA Scan is a Bone Density test like an X-ray that measures the strength of your bones. It is usually done in patients over 50 years of age to detect bone loss. Younger and older patients should consider a Bone Density test if they have risk factors for bone loss, which can cause Osteoporosis. Risk factors include gender and race, lifestyle choices and genetics. Caucasian or Asian females of thin small body frames and a history of Osteoporosis are more at risk. Smoking, alcohol consumption, caffeine, lack of exercise and poor nutrition are major risk factors, as well as a diet low in bone building nutrients including Calcium, Magnesium and Boron.
Diabetic Clinic
Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that causes high blood sugar. The hormone insulin moves sugar from the blood into your cells to be stored or used for energy. With diabetes, your body either doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t effectively use the insulin it does make. Specialised supervised medical care is required to manage blood sugar levels. Diabetes can be a life threatening disease and patients are advised to revise their eating plan to a healthy low GI eating plan as advised by your doctor and dietitian.
Mammograph
Mammography uses low-energy X-rays to examine the human breast for screening and diagnosis. It is recommended by the Cancer Foundation that women aged 45 to 54 have a mammogram every year. as recommended by the Cancer Foundation. After 55 mammograms can be continued every 2 years.
Radiography and Sonography
Radiography and Sonography services available on site. X-ray Radiography detects bone fractures, certain tumors and other abnormal masses, pneumonia, some types of injuries, calcifications, foreign objects, dental problems, etc.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound takes images of the soft tissue structures, such as the gallbladder, liver, kidneys, pancreas, bladder, and other organs and parts of the body. Ultrasound can also measure the flow of blood in the arteries to detect blockages. Ultrasound is also used to monitor the healthy development of a fetus. Radiography and Ultrasound testing is safe and painless
Dentistry
We provide all dentistry services, checkups, fillings and cavity repairs, tooth removal and including aesthetic dentistry from teeth whitening to veneers, crowns and implants.
Optometry
We have a wide selection of eyewear in addition to contact lenses, routine vision care and medical eye care services. Our vision is to make our patients feel good by enhancing their quality of life while consistently exceeding expectations! Optometrists check patient’s eyes and perform a series of tests to identify issues with depth perception and clarity. They can provide basic treatments and vision therapy or refer patients to a medical doctor who specializes in eye care. Optometrists analyze test results to determine what kinds of corrective lenses, visual aids or other treatment measures will help their patient with issues like blurriness or headaches associated with sight issues.
Geriatrics
Geriatrics specialises in the healthcare needs of older people. As we age our bodies need more focused and unique care. Doctor’s specialising in Geriatrics can monitor and manage treatment for age related conditions, and suggest methods to prevent, treat and slow down the formation of age relation diseases.
